E.ON Ruhrgas Norge AS is an upstream company established in Stavanger, Norway in 2003.

Since start the company has had a formidable growth. The license portfolio now includes 27 licenses of which 4 are operated and production has increased significantly over the same period.  Current production is appr. 20 kboe/d.

The company is aggressively stepping up its exploration program in Norway. Our approach is to explore with a long term perspective. We seek to gain a thorough understanding of regional geology and then set firm targets. In 2009 ERN participated in 3 wells, with two discoveries; near the Njord Field (Gygrid in PL348) and the Skarv Field (Idun Nord in PL159 D). The company plans to participate in three exploration wells in 2010. The first 2010 exploration well resulted in the Fogelberg gas discovery near the Smørbukk Field.  In addition comes an ongoing infill drilling programme at the Njord Field, aiming to delay production decline. The Skarv fields is being developed, with construction ongoing. Production starts up in 3Q 2011. ERN will operate two drilling operations in 2011. Preparations for drilling these wells are ongoing.
